"The Art Laboe Show" on KPOP radio was the #1 radio program in the Los Angeles area in 1956, holding a 33 share (Hooper rating), a record which still stands.
City of Los Angeles declares July 17, 1981 "Art Laboe Day" as Art received his star on Hollywood Boulevard's "Walk of Fame." A permanent display of Art's contributions also reside at the Rock 'N Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.
Founder of the "Art Laboe Foundation." This organization has given annual scholarships to four East Los Angeles high schools and supports other charitable organizations such as the Wildlife Way Station and the Humane Society.
